Tissue Box Cover

Tissue Box Cover

The cover for this tissue box, which is 5 by 4 1/2 by 4 1/4", just slips over the top, so it can be changed depending on the season. There is no bottom.

Card stock:

  • 2 pieces 4 1/4 by 5   Scored at 1, 4 1/4, 8 3/4"

1.  Score card stock as indicated above. Adhere two pieces of cardstock together at the 1" piece

2.  Adhere DSP to the cardstock between the score lines

3.   Add adhesive to 1" strip and form box

4.  Slip cover over tissue box

5.  Lid:  Make slits on score lines.  Adhere DSP to the  top of the lid.

6.  Die cut oval in the middle of the box.  On a separate piece of cardstock die cut 2 other ovals (one a larger size that the opening.  This forms a mat around the opening.  Adhere.

Apply adhesive to the tabs and form the lid

Place the lid on top of the box.
Apply tombo glue to the inside sides of the lid and glue to the tissue box.  Hold firmly until glue set.

    Decorate as desired.

Below is the other tissue box I covered.

  1. These can be made as holiday decorations also.

  2. I can't wait to try out your tutorial. I love the square box tissues and since we are a family with allergies, tissues are part of our decor in almost every room. Now I can finally make them fit in by creating my own personalized covers. Thanks so much. When I make and post I'll give you credit and a link on my blog.
